Competition is so tense in the mobile space at the moment and mobile phone manufacturing companies are starting to realize that the key to winning in this game is to come up with unique and innovative mobile phones. One such mobile phone is the Lumia 800 mobile phone, and this article will be giving you an insight into its specifications, features and price. Heck, you might even want to get it after reading this post.
Mobile Technology and Connectivity
The Lumia 800 is a quality mobile phone with support for advanced mobile technology, including HSDPA, 3G, GPRS and EDGE. In other words, it doesn’t matter where you’re located or which ISP you use, it doesn’t matter whether you’re on a standard SIM contract or on a SIM only contract, you will be able to use the internet to the fullest on your mobile phone at your current network level.
The Lumia 800 also supports WiFi and Bluetooth, and it has a GPS if you want to keep track of your environment more using advanced technology.
Display and Camera
The Nokia Lumia 800 has an AMOLED touchscreen display with 16M colors and a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is a multitouch phone with Nokia ClearBlack display.
It has a Carl Zeiss optical lens camera with autofocus and 8MP camera. Maximum resolution is 3264×2448 pixels and even though the Lumia 800 has no front camera, it is capable of producing high quality videos when compared to other mobile phones. The camera is capable of producing HD videos with a 720p resolution. It also has a button dedicated to the camera on the right side.
Operating System
The Nokia Lumia 800 runs on the Windows 7.5 OS and is operating on a 1.45GHz snapdragon processor. It has a 512MB ram and 16GB inbuilt storage without Memory Card. A disadvantage, though, is that it doesn’t have support for a memory card; I believe the 16GB memory is enough for anything you might want to use the phone for but if you really need a memory card this might not be the best phone for you.
Battery Life
There are a lot of good smartphones in the market today but with poor battery life, and there is no point in having a mobile phone with quality features that you can hardly use due to the battery life. The Lumia 800 has a battery that can last up to 265hr (2G) and up to 335hr (3G) in standby mode. It also has a talk time of up to 11hr and it can last up to 55hr if you’re only using to for music. Compared to most other smartphones out there today, I think this is actually an advantage.
Pricing
The phone is already available in other countries aside the US at the moment and you can get within the price range of $400 – $600. You can get a better deal if you get it through your mobile service provider.
